ingredients

12 cups water

2 cups dried oats

1/2 cup honey

1 tablespoon vanilla, ground

4 teaspoons cinnamon

Soak the oats in the water for one day, shaking vigorously several times. Strain out the oats after another thoroughly vigorous shake. Warm the oat milk slightly and mix in the honey, ground vanilla, and cinnamon. Let sit for a few hours. Consume within a three to four days.

Oats are filling stuff, but since they are not as nutrient rich as the other grass grains (rice, wheat, etc) it is useful to recycle them. The strained oats can be used in oatmeal and you won't notice any loss of flavor. Local honey helps build up antioxidants and resistance to the effects of local pollen over time. Ground vanilla and cinnamon are both cleansing, relaxing, and delicious spices to ground the sweetening effect of the honey.
